Overview

As Shop Supervisor you will be using your skills and retail experience to help drive business, push sales, and achieve targets. Help to lead a team to deliver great customer service to our donors and customers. Work with the local community to generate sufficient donated stock to drive sales. Help to recruit, train & retain a volunteer team, who'll look to you and the shop manager for leadership and guidance. Set high standards of merchandising and housekeeping, ensuring you and your teams health and safety is a priority. Help to manage effective stock processes to ensure your shop is well merchandised with fresh, seasonal stock at all times. Act as a brand ambassador for Sue Ryder, supporting in store campaigns to promote the brand and national fundraising initiatives. Help to manage an effective stock process through the Epos operation.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a team of volunteers and staff to drive sales and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Manage community engagement to generate donated stock for the shop.
  • Maintain high merchandising and housekeeping standards with a focus on health and safety.
  • Oversee stock processes and ensure the shop is well merchandised with fresh, seasonal stock.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Sue Ryder and support in-store campaigns and fundraising initiatives.
  • Operate the Epos stock process effectively.

  • Positive attitude, good judgment, and proven leadership skills, including ability to lead a large team of volunteers.
  • Excellent people skills, a positive can-do attitude, and understanding of financial and IT administration.

Sue Ryder is one of the largest charity retailers in the UK with over 400 shops. Every item sold funds our care and support services. Our shop in Lymington is located at 49 High Street, Lymington, SO41 9AG.

Conditions & Benefits
  • Location: Lymington
  • Hours: 22.5 hours per week over 7 days (3 x 7.5 hour shifts: Sun/Mon/Tues)
  • Salary: £12.36 per hour + rewards & benefits
