Job summary

St Helena Hospice is seeking a Shop Manager to lead our Manningtree store and cafe. The role is 37.5 hours per week on a rota that includes weekends, with on-site work in Manningtree and a focus on delivering a welcoming customer experience and strong income performance.

You will oversee shop and cafe operations, manage staff and volunteers, and drive community engagement while upholding safety, quality, and Gift Aid processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or charity shop management.
• Experience leading volunteers and staff.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage stock, donations and Gift Aid.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Manningtree shop and cafe to deliver income and performance targets.
• Oversee volunteers and staff, deliver a safe, welcoming customer experience.
• Develop community engagement and upcycle/workshop activities.
