Job summary

St Helena Hospice is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager for its Manningtree shop. The role is 37.5 hours per week over 5 days on a rota that includes weekends, working on-site in Manningtree.

You will support the Shop Manager with daily operations, income targets, Gift Aid and performance objectives, while delivering an excellent customer and donor experience and mentoring volunteers. The role emphasizes teamwork, high standards and safe shop operations.

Responsibilities

• Support Shop Manager with day-to-day shop operations and income objectives.
• Ensure excellent customer and donor experience through service, shop presentation and stock availability.
• Assist in recruitment, induction, training, supervision and development of volunteers.
• Ensure proper receipt, sorting and safe storage of donated stock, coordinating with Donation Centre and other shops.
