Job description

We’re looking for a proactive Shipping Coordinator to manage the smooth flow of goods in and out of our factory. In this role, you’ll ensure consignments reach Rotork offices and customers globally, while coordinating imports of essential components.

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare and dispatch shipments quickly and cost-effectively, meeting customer and country-specific requirements.
  • Liaise with internal teams, customers, and agents to streamline shipping processes.
  • Take ownership of shipment status and keep all stakeholders informed.
  • Work with external agencies such as HM Customs, shipping lines, and banks.
  • Handle documentation for customs compliance and international regulations.
  • Book shipments, prepare invoices, and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide specialist shipping advice across departments and global offices.
  • Support the Shipping Team Leader and cover departmental needs when required.
Qualifications

Experience Requirements

  • Experience in a shipping / import / export environment
  • Knowledge of international business practices
  • Good knowledge of export controls
  • Good knowledge of the transport of hazardous goods
