GAC UK is looking for a Shipping Agent to be based in Teesside. We are a global company with over 300 experts across more than 25 offices in the UK, Ireland and Gibraltar, delivering integrated shipping, logistics and marine services to the energy and shipping industries, as well as specialised sectors such as marine leisure, sports and events, automotive and aviation.

The Key Responsibilities Are
  • Book vessels in and out of port with all relevant stakeholders
  • Capture accurate costs incurred during port calls
  • Visit vessels and handle any local requirements
  • Maintain good relations with customers and stakeholders
Job Requirements
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks
  • Produce and maintain accurate documents
  • Have a good understanding and appreciation of a proactive safety culture
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car

Marine experience is preferred but not essential as all training will be provided.

Based in Teesside with the requirement to travel and cover other ports.

Upon completion of training, the successful candidate will join the duty rota which consists of evening and weekend work as we are available 24/7 for our customers.
