Job summary

A leading dairy company is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineering Technician to join their team at the Market Drayton Butter Plant. Multi‑Skilled Engineering Technician / Shift Technician

Location: Market Drayton – Butter Plant

Contract Type: Permanent, 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights, 6‑6)

Salary: £56,160.00 per annum

We are looking to recruit a Multi‑Skilled Engineering Technician to join our high‑performing team at the Market Drayton Butter Plant. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Engineering Technician or Shift Technician to step into a role where they can make a real impact in a fast‑paced, innovative manufacturing environment.

What We Arelooking For In a Multi‑Skilled Engineering Technician
  • Completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship
  • Proven experience as a Multi‑Skilled Engineer, Engineering Technician, or Shift Technician in a fast‑moving manufacturing or logistics setting
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills (HNC level or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with automation and CI tools is a plus
  • Solid background in maintenance and reliability engineering
Key Responsibilities Of The Engineering Technician Role
  • Deliver high‑quality scheduled and reactive maintenance across the site
  • Rapidly diagnose faults and restore equipment to service
  • Identify root causes and implement cost‑effective solutions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and FMEA activities
  • Work with electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings
  • Apply basic automation skills for fault finding and resolution
