Position Summary:

The Hotel Shift Engineer is responsible for maintaining the hotel’s physical infrastructure and ensuring all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems operate efficiently and safely. This role involves performing routine inspections, responding to maintenance requests, and executing repairs to uphold the property’s standards and guest satisfaction.

Working under the direction of the Chief Engineer or Engineering Manager, the Shift Engineer plays a key role in supporting daily operations, minimizing downtime, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

  • Maintenance & Repairs
  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Respond promptly to guest room and public area maintenance requests.
  • Preventive Maintenance
  • Conduct scheduled inspections and servicing of equipment to prevent breakdowns.
  • Maintain logs and records of maintenance activities.
  • Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure all systems comply with health, safety, and fire regulations.
