Job summary

A leading environmental consultancy in the UK is looking for an SHES (Environmental & Sustainability) Advisor. The role involves supporting projects by ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and conducting inspections and audits. Candidates should have experience in environmental advisory roles within construction or infrastructure. This is a contract position for 3 months, with a daily rate of £400. The position is project/site-based, requiring strong skills in monitoring and training delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an Environmental, Sustainability, or SHES advisory role within construction or infrastructure.
  • Ability to deliver environmental training and toolbox talks to site teams.
  • Experience with environmental monitoring (water, noise, dust) and data reporting.

The Role
  • Support projects by ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, permits, and company management systems.
  • Carry out scheduled environmental inspections and internal audits, producing inspection programmes and tracking actions.
  • Review RAMS from an environmental perspective for low and medium-risk activities.
