Where will you be working?

At M Group Energy, we're enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation. M Group Energy are currently looking to recruit a SHEQ Advisor to work on our Agility Eco projects throughout the UK. This role will require travel to various sites, so a Full UK driving licence is required. Our current projects are between London and Cambridge. The role will provide Health, Safety and environmental support to our operational teams and be based on either a single large scale project or smaller multiple projects. As a SHEQ Advisor you will be a key part of our SHEQ team who provide expert advice, assistance and guidance with regards to the management of health, safety and environmental issues. This role will incur travel throughout the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor direct employees and sub-contractors via site inspection and management audits
  • Advise on a range of specialist areas, e.g. risk assessments, construction risk management, fire safety, CDM regulations, hazardous substances, noise and machinery
  • Assist and advise the operational and management team to maintain and further develop the management systems and operational practices
  • Liaison with external bodies including the Health and Safety Executive, Clients and other stakeholders as directed by the Head of SHEQ.
  • Support incident management & investigation process
  • Present toolbox talks, team talks and appropriate SHE training materials about health, safety and environmental issues and risks
  • Deliver induction training to operatives and new starters
  • Act as a role model in support of the M Group visions, priorities and values
Qualifications
  • NEBOSH General or Construction certificate
  • Previous experience as a Safety Advisor in a construction environment
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of CDM Regulations
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel
  • Environmental Qualifications - desirable
  • Consistently demonstrate high standards of safety behaviour, leading by example and promoting a positive safety culture
  • Ability to manage potential conflict during site inspections with operational teams
  • Capable of delivering confident articulate presentations
