Manpower is currently seeking an interim SHE Capabilities Specialist - Digital, to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.

The position is fully remote with occasional travel as required to Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. This is a full-time temporary role to run until end October 2026, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £48,000 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.

Flexibility with working hours as could be required to work with different time zones.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be a member of the SHE capability expertise team Zero Harm to People, focusing on Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Contractor and Construction Safety. The role involves owning the delivery of digital projects, managing digital products and solutions in scope, and enhancing capability to foster a strong SHE culture on sites and within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Ownership:

  • Manage select digital projects, solutions, and products within the expertise platform.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for these solutions and products.
  • Track progress of delivery within the scope of the expertise platform.
  • Learn and understand various digital systems used in SHE and Unilever, understand interactions, and manage system implementation and interactions.

Leadership:

  • Ensure timely delivery of solutions and products per the annual plan.
  • Coordinate training sessions and support users globally for successful implementation.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to ensure solution functionality.
  • Promote safe behaviors, lead by example, and foster a learning environment.
  • Support the development of digital strategy and architecture aligned with organizational goals.
  • Conduct organizational needs assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of digital tools.
  • Address functional issues, recommend improvements, and keep solutions up to date and user-friendly.

Teamwork:

  • Collaborate with SMEs, specialists, and users to ensure solutions deliver as planned.
  • Build relationships within SHE and with other functions for smooth daily operations.
  • Work effectively with stakeholders inside and outside SHE to meet objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, finance, engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Experience in SHE, engineering, IT.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time.
  • Experience in multicultural environments.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in SHE management systems and tools.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Safety training certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) are a plus.
