SharePoint Developer

The role
  • Will be responsible for working within an agile framework as part of the SharePoint Product Squad to translate demands / requirements into appropriate Epics, Features and Stories with time and value whilst maintaining agile principles. These will then be used to deliver the product to the company in line with the Strategic and Technical Roadmaps.
  • Will have the ability to adapt these plans in line with prioritisation of demand.
  • Maintaining high performance levels for service-related processes, and implementing improvement activities wherever necessary
  • Taking accountability for their own performance, demand delivery, meeting customer expectations, and driving future demand
  • Defines the technical direction of a suite of functional capabilities or modules to the Product Squad and implements these as part of a self-organising team
  • Contribute to protecting the products from technical debt and process debt and designs the system architecture to adapt to future change.
Responsibilities
  • Will Develop, deploy and review SharePoint systems and code to ensure it supports the business process and policy.
  • Plans and drives software construction activities. Adopts and adapts appropriate software development methods, tools and techniques.
  • Provides technical expertise to enable the configuration of system components and equipment for systems testing.
  • Measures and monitors SharePoint for software construction, including software security.
  • Presenting ideas for SharePoint Farm system improvements.
  • Producing detailed technical specifications, developing proposed solutions and writing the programme code to develop the solutions
  • Technical testing of SharePoint in a controlled environment before go live.
  • Maintaining SharePoint Farms : - including general housekeeping, data cleanse, reduction of technical debt, bug fixes and configuration.
  • Designs system components using appropriate modelling techniques following agreed architectures, design standards, patterns and methodology.
  • Identifies and evaluates alternative design options and trade-offs. Creates multiple design views to address the concerns of the different stakeholders and to handle functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Models, simulates or prototypes the behaviour of proposed system components to enable approval by stakeholders.
  • Proposes and agrees the configuration items (CIs) to be uniquely identified with naming conventions.
  • Reviews, verifies and improves own designs against specifications. Leads reviews of others’ designs
Skills & Experience
  • Deep understanding of application development and promotion into multiple environments
  • Experience managing technical software applications and acting as a Subject Matter Expert
  • Experience of working in a DevOps / agile environment
  • Experience of developing, deploying and supporting SharePoint On-Line and OneDrive
  • Experience of developing, deploying and supporting Microsoft Power Platform (Apps, BI, Automate)
  • A Deep understanding of the M365 suite and its integration with SharePoint Online
  • 5 years plus experience in field
  • A high level of experience in supporting the delivery of projects and large change requests
  • Ability to frequently manage changing priorities and multiple stakeholders, but to keep end-objectives in sight
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners and working within cross functional and remote teams
  • Can do attitude, with impact and influencing style
  • Demonstrable team working characteristics
  • Highly organised, motivated and detail conscious
  • Committed to learning and continuous improvement
  • ITIL Foundation (Mandated) be trained at least to ITIL foundation and either appropriate ITIL Intermediate or other appropriate capability training (Preferred)
  • Agile qualifications (example - ScrumMaster / Product Owner) (Preferred)
