The Hiring Manager for this vacancy is Richard Prentice. As a Electrical Service Maintenance Technician at Tesco across Dudley, Lichfield and Wolverhampton areas, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our stores remains a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues alike. You'll be part of a skilled team responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of systems and equipment, helping to keep our operations running smoothly. • General day‑to‑day store and property maintenance.
• Using mobile devices—phone and tablet to drive the best approach in work completion and updates.
• Representing the Tesco brand by demonstrating our core values (serving our customers, communities and planet a little better every day), maintaining a positive attitude and taking pride in wearing the Tesco uniform.

As a vital part of our Maintenance team, you will demonstrate enthusiasm for maintaining high standards. With previous experience in a maintenance, engineering, or construction environment, you will be digitally confident using a tablet to view daily work schedules and manage emails.

Operational Skills

• Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or improver programme or trade proficiency test / relevant trade experience.
• Basic diagnostics: PCB/Microprocessor / HMI controlled systems / equipment.
• Electrical safety circuit – basic working knowledge, fault finding and replacement.
• EICR remedial knowledge.
• Full driving licence.
• Health & safety awareness.
• Communication & stakeholder management.
• Office 365 knowledge, City & Guilds Level 3 – Electrical (or equivalent).
• Apprenticeship/Improver programme.
• EICR remedial works experience.

Preferable Qualifications

• City & Guilds Inspection & Testing.
• ECoPs.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition.
• MEWP/IPAF licence.
