Qualifications

  • Proven mechanical engineering or mechanics background.
  • Experience in electronics, hydraulics and component fault finding.
  • Level 2 or 3 mechanical or electrical engineering qualification or equivalent.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Service Engineer – Haydock

Fusion Utilities, part of the Wolseley Group, is seeking a Service Engineer based in Haydock to join our hire fleet and support team.

Responsibilities
  • Servicing and calibrating fleet equipment, including on‑site customer premises.
  • Demonstrating the full range of hire products to customers.
  • Providing regional support for specialist equipment operated from the HQ store in Chesterfield.
  • Delivering telephone technical support internally and externally.
  • Attending breakdowns, onsite technical support, training, site audits and customer feedback.
  • Diagnosing faults and repairing equipment across the hire offering, from small tools to Tracstar machines capable of welding 1200 mm poly pipe.
Qualifications
  • A proven mechanical engineering or mechanics background.
  • Experience in electronics, hydraulics and component fault finding.
  • Level 2 or 3 mechanical or electrical engineering qualification or equivalent.
  • Full UK driving licence.

This is a full‑time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 16:30, with a 16:00 finish on Fridays.
