Job summary

Ford and Slater, a leading UK DAF Truck dealer group, seeks a Service Advisor for its Spalding dealership. The role offers an hourly rate of £12.71, 22 days holiday rising with service, pension and extra benefits.

You’ll handle bookings, estimates, and customer communications with an emphasis on excellent service. Applicants with customer-focused experience in vehicle services or related fields will be considered; driving licence preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused with a passion for service.
• Experience in the commercial vehicle, motor trade or related sector is a plus but not required.
• PC literate and competent with standard software.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet clients in a friendly, professional manner.
• Manage service bookings on a day-to-day basis and ensure efficient workshop loading.
• Prepare accurate service estimates quickly and clearly.
• Keep customers updated on costs, progress and authorisations.
• Prepare job cards and raise invoices.

Ford and Slater are one the UK’s largest DAF Truck dealers group with 16 locations from Norwich to Birtley in the North East, employing over 900 staff whilst remaining a family run business. We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Service Advisor at our fantastic Spalding dealership.

Who are we looking for as a Service Advisor:

• You will be a customer focused individual with a passion for customer service.
• Previous experience working within the commercial vehicle, motor trade or an associated sector as a Service Advisor (or similar role), would be a distinct advantage but not essential.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair scheduling preferred but not essential.
• PC Literate.
• Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).

The Service Advisor role / responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Meeting and greeting clients in a friendly and professional manner. Managing service bookings on day-to-day basis, ensuring efficient workshop loading. Complete service estimates accurately, clearly, and quickly. Keep customers up to date with costs, progress and authorisations. Prepare job cards & raise invoices.

Working alternate weeks: 45 hours, Monday to Friday: 7am – 5pm / 8am – 6pm.

1 in 4 Saturday morning’s.
