Ford and Slater, one of the UK’s largest DAF Truck dealers, is seeking a Service Advisor for Leeds. You will manage service bookings, produce accurate estimates, and keep customers updated on costs and progress. Training through the DAF Academy and clear career progression are available.

Role totals 45 hours weekly with early/late shifts and one in three Saturdays. A full UK driving licence and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Advisor in the commercial vehicle or motor trade is preferred.
• Passion for trucks and knowledge of parts is advantageous.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair scheduling is a plus.
• Customer-focused with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• PC literate and able to use workshop/booking systems.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsabilités

• Manage service bookings on a day-to-day basis and ensure efficient workshop loading.
• Prepare accurate service estimates and keep customers informed of costs and progress.
• Raise invoices and create job cards as part of service delivery.
• Maintain clear communication with customers regarding costs, progress and authorisations.

Who Are We Looking For As a Service Advisor

• You will have previous experience working within the commercial vehicle, motor trade or an associated sector as a Service Advisor or in a similar role.
• Or have a passion for trucks and know your truck / trailer parts.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair scheduling preferred but not essential.
• A customer focused individual with excellent communication skills (both written & verbal).
• PC Literate.
• Full UK driving licence.

The Service Advisor role / responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Managing service bookings on day-to-day basis, ensuring efficient workshop loading. Complete service estimates accurately, clearly, and quickly. Keep customers up to date with costs, progress and authorisations. Prepare job cards & raise invoices.

Working:

45 hours per week, Monday to Friday alternating weeks 6am-3:30pm / 8:30am-6pm. 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, 7am - Midday.
