Job summary

Ford and Slater in Spalding is seeking a Service Advisor to join our team at the dealership. You will greet customers, manage service bookings, prepare estimates and keep clients updated on costs and progress.

We offer an hourly rate of £12.71, 22 days holiday rising to 25 with service, pension, cycle to work, and career progression. A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused with a passion for service.
• Experience in the commercial vehicle, motor trade or similar is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair scheduling is preferred but not essential.
• PC literate.
• Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet clients in a friendly, professional manner.
• Manage service bookings on a day-to-day basis and keep workshop loading efficient.
• Prepare service estimates accurately and promptly.
• Keep customers updated on costs, progress and authorisations.
• Prepare job cards and raise invoices.

Who are we looking for as a Service Advisor:

• You will be a customer focused individual with a passion for customer service.
• Previous experience working within the commercial vehicle, motor trade or an associated sector as a Service Advisor (or similar role), would be a distinct advantage but not essential.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair scheduling preferred but not essential.
• PC Literate.
• Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).

The Service Advisor role / responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Meeting and greeting clients in a friendly and professional manner. Managing service bookings on day-to-day basis, ensuring efficient workshop loading. Complete service estimates accurately, clearly, and quickly. Keep customers up to date with costs, progress and authorisations. Prepare job cards & raise invoices.

Working alternate weeks: 45 hours, Monday to Friday: 7am – 5pm / 8am – 6pm.

1 in 4 Saturday morning’s.
