Auto Skills UK is recruiting an experienced Service Advisor for a franchised dealership in Gatwick. You will be the key link between customers and the workshop, ensuring a first-class Aftersales journey from booking to collection.

This full-time, permanent role offers a £32,000 base salary with an OTE of £38,000 and uncapped bonus potential. You'll join a friendly Aftersales team with ongoing manufacturer training and clear opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Advisor or similar automotive role.
• Experience in franchised dealership or automotive aftersales environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to build rapport with customers.
• Clear explanations of repairs and requirements.
• Strong organisational skills for multiple enquiries.
• Proactive approach to upselling and targets.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining service quality.
• Experience using Kerridge/ADP is advantageous.

Location: Gatwick

Salary: £32,000 Basic | £38,000 OTE (Uncapped Earning Potential)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: 42 hours per week - Monday to Friday, between 8:00am and 6:00pm, plus Saturday mornings on a rota basis.

The Role - Service Advisor

As a Service Advisor, you'll be the key link between customers and the workshop, managing the aftersales journey and ensuring customers receive a first-class experience throughout.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Booking vehicle servicing, MOTs, maintenance and repair work.
• Welcoming customers into the dealership and understanding their vehicle requirements.
• Advising customers on recommended repairs, warranty cover and additional products or accessories.
• Identifying opportunities to upsell relevant products and services while maintaining a customer-first approach.
• Liaising with the workshop and wider Aftersales team to organise appointments and manage workload.
• Managing a high volume of customer enquiries, telephone calls and online bookings.
• Keeping customers informed of vehicle progress, repair costs and estimated completion times.
• Providing regular updates throughout the customer journey.
• Ensuring all customer information and booking details are accurately recorded on dealership systems.
• Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

About You

We're looking for a confident, enthusiastic and customer-focused individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced dealership environment.

To be considered for this Service Advisor position, you'll ideally have:

• Previous experience working as a Service Advisor, Aftersales Advisor or within a similar automotive customer-facing role.
• Experience within a franchised dealership or automotive aftersales environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to build rapport and establish strong relationships with customers.
• Confidence explaining technical information and repair requirements clearly and professionally.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple customer enquiries.
• A proactive approach to identifying sales opportunities and achieving targets.The ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining excellent customer service.
• A positive, professional and team-focused attitude.
• Experience using Kerridge / ADP or other dealership management systems would be advantageous.
