Job summary

AutoSkills (United Kingdom) Gloucester is seeking a Senior Service Advisor to enhance the customer journey in our automotive aftersales team.

This permanent, full-time role offers £33,000 base with OTE £38,000 and a Monday–Friday pattern plus one Saturday morning every 4 weeks. You will deliver outstanding service and coordinate between customers and the workshop to ensure repairs are explained clearly and completed to high standards.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers and understanding their service needs.
• Book vehicles into the workshop and manage bookings.

• Keep customers updated throughout the repair process.

The Role

As a Service Advisor / Senior Service Advisor, you will be responsible for delivering an excellent customer experience throughout the service and repair process, acting as the key link between customers and the workshop.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming customers and managing their service requirements
• Booking vehicles into the workshop
• Discussing servicing, repairs and additional work with customers
• Preparing accurate job cards and estimates
• Liaising closely with Technicians and Workshop Controllers
• Keeping customers updated throughout the repair process
• Advising customers on additional work and maintenance requirements
• Managing customer expectations and resolving queries professionally
• Preparing vehicles for collection and explaining completed work
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor or Senior Service Advisor
• Experience within an automotive dealership, workshop or aftersales environment
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Good technical understanding of vehicle servicing and repairs
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a busy environment
• Professional and confident approach
• Full UK driving licence
