AutoSkills (United Kingdom) is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join its Aftersales team in Nuneaton. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service from check-in to collection, coordinating workshop activity and maximising customer satisfaction.

You’ll work Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm, with no weekend shifts and a bonus structure tied to customer satisfaction and extra sales. A strong opportunity for progression to Senior Advisor or Service Manager exists.

Qualifications

• Experience as Automotive Service Advisor or Aftersales Advisor.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple customer requirements in a busy service department.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• Willingness to upsell additional repairs, tyres and service plans.

THE ROLE: AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE ADVISOR

As a Service Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for customers visiting the Aftersales department, ensuring they receive an outstanding experience from vehicle check-in through to collection.

Working closely with customers, technicians and management, you will help coordinate workshop activity, communicate repair requirements and maximise customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Customer service: Welcoming customers, understanding their requirements and providing a professional, friendly service throughout their visit.
• Workshop coordination: Managing bookings and workshop loading to maintain an efficient flow of work.
• Vehicle updates: Keeping customers informed of repair progress, additional work and expected completion times.
• Technical communication: Explaining vehicle faults, recommended repairs and maintenance requirements clearly and confidently.
• Upselling and sales: Identifying appropriate opportunities for additional repairs, tyres, service plans and preventative maintenance.
• Customer authorisation: Obtaining approval for additional work and ensuring customers understand the costs involved.
• Customer satisfaction: Maintaining high CSI scores and building long-term customer relationships.
• Administration: Preparing job cards, processing invoices and maintaining accurate service records.
• Warranty and service systems: Supporting warranty claims and processing 1Link authorisations where required.
• Dealer management systems: Using systems such as Kerridge, Pinnacle or Keyloop to manage service department activity.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this Service Advisor role, you will need:

• Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Aftersales Advisor or Dealership Service Advisor.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to manage multiple customer requirements in a busy service department.
• A confident, professional telephone manner.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to identify appropriate additional sales opportunities.
• Experience working towards customer satisfaction, upselling or departmental performance targets.
• Familiarity with dealer management systems such as Kerridge, Pinnacle or Keyloop.
• A full, valid UK driving licence.

You’ll be organised, proactive and comfortable working alongside technicians and management to deliver an efficient, customer-focused Aftersales operation.
