Job summary

Perfect Placement is recruiting on behalf of a reputable Derbyshire dealership for a skilled Service Advisor. The role is permanent and full-time, focusing on delivering excellent aftersales service and customer care.

You will manage service bookings, liaise with technicians, and explain work required to customers while promoting service plans and ensuring accurate invoicing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Service Advisor, Aftersales Advisor, or similar customer-facing automotive role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Calm, positive and professional attitude in a busy environment
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Commercial awareness with a commitment to customer service
• Proficient in dealership management systems (Keyloop, Kerridge, 1Link desirable)

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and manage service, maintenance, repair, and MOT bookings
• Listen to customer requirements and identify vehicle issues
• Prepare accurate job cards with detailed estimates
• Explain required work to customers and obtain authorisation
• Provide regular updates on vehicle progress and costs
• Liaise with technicians, workshop controllers, parts staff, and warranty teams
• Promote service plans, maintenance products and additional services
• Complete professional vehicle handovers and ensure invoice accuracy
• Maintain high standards of administration and manufacturer compliance
• Contribute to high levels of customer satisfaction and dealership performance
