Service Advisor Vacancy - Independent Car Dealership Milton Keynes

• Working Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Service Advisor / Service Receptionist to join a well-established and growing independent dealership in Milton Keynes.

The business has recently relocated to a modern, purpose-built site and its busy service department is continuing to grow under a new Service Manager. With the workshop currently booking at least one week in advance, and potentially moving towards two weeks ahead, they are looking to strengthen the front-of-house team with an organised and customer-focused Service Advisor / Receptionist.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to join an independent business where they can play an important role in the continued growth of the service department, without the weekend working often associated with main dealer environments.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers and providing a professional front-of-house service
• Booking vehicles into the workshop and managing customer appointments
• Taking customer enquiries both in person and over the telephone
• Preparing and raising job cards and repair orders
• Providing customers with updates on the progress of their vehicles
• Liaising closely with Technicians and the Service Manager
• Preparing invoices and processing completed repair orders
• Explaining completed work and associated costs to customers
• Identifying additional work and obtaining customer authorisation
• Providing accurate estimates and keeping customers informed throughout the repair process
• Supporting the Service Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of the department

The ideal professional will have previous experience within a Service Advisor, Service Receptionist or similar customer-facing automotive role and will be comfortable dealing with customers and managing the administrative side of a busy workshop.
