Job summary

Auto Skills UK in Swindon is hiring a Service Advisor to provide first-class customer service and oversee smooth service department operations. You will book vehicles, liaise with the workshop, and ensure customers are kept informed throughout the repair process.

The role requires experience in the automotive sector, proficiency with Kerridge or similar DMS, and a proven ability to upsell maintenance and aftersales products.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Advisor in the automotive industry.
• Experience using Kerridge, 1Link, Pinnacle, or a similar Dealer Management System (DMS).
• Proven upsell experience with service plans and aftersales products.

Responsibilities

• Booking vehicles in for servicing, maintenance, and repairs.
• Coordinate with workshop for efficient scheduling and loading.
• Keep customers informed throughout the repair process.
• Advise on additional work and costs where appropriate.
• Upsell service plans and aftersales products when suitable.
• Prepare estimates, invoices, and service documentation accurately.
• Ensure timely completion of vehicles with the workshop team.
• Deliver outstanding customer service from drop-off to collection.

THE ROLE

As a Service Advisor, you'll be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the service department.

• Booking customer vehicles in for servicing, maintenance, and repairs
• Liaising with the workshop to ensure efficient scheduling and workshop loading
• Keeping customers informed throughout the repair process
• Advising customers on additional work required and associated costs
• Upselling service plans, maintenance work, and aftersales products where appropriate
• Preparing estimates, invoices, and service documentation accurately
• Working closely with the workshop team to ensure vehicles are completed on time
• Delivering outstanding customer service from vehicle drop-off through to collection

ABOUT YOU

We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor within the automotive industry
• Experience using Kerridge, 1Link, Pinnacle, or a similar Dealer Management System (DMS)
• A proven track record of upselling additional work, service plans, and aftersales products
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work effectively in a busy environment
• A positive, professional, and team-focused attitude
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (subject to licence checks)
