ASI Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Motor Trade Service Advisor in the Cranleigh area, Surrey. This customer-facing role focuses on efficient diary management, accurate estimates, and proactive upselling to maximise workshop opportunities.

You will engage with customers, maintain GDPR-compliant records and liaise with workshops to ensure a smooth service experience. Working Monday to Friday, salary £45,000-£46,000 OTE.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Advisor, ideally within a dealership, independent garage or specialist workshop.
• Strong customer service skills and automotive knowledge.
• Able to upsell and identify additional services that benefit customers.

Are you an experienced Service Advisor looking for a role where you can genuinely make a difference?

We are recruiting on behalf of an established independent specialist garage in the Cranleigh area for a confident, customer-focused Service Advisor to join their team.

The Role

• Managing service bookings and maintaining an efficient workshop diary.
• Welcoming customers and providing a friendly, professional service.
• Keeping customers updated throughout their vehicle's visit.
• Preparing accurate estimates and ensuring job cards contain the correct information.
• Reviewing VHCs and confidently discussing additional work with customers.
• Maximising opportunities for additional work, including warranties, servicing, detailing and other services.
• Liaising closely with the Workshop Manager, Parts Department, technicians, drivers and detailers.
• Managing loan car bookings, collections and deliveries.
• Processing warranty claims and relevant invoicing.
• Maintaining accurate customer records and ensuring GDPR procedures are followed.
• Supporting customer retention through service reminders and review requests.
• Identifying opportunities to attract new customers.

The Person

We are looking for someone with previous Service Advisor experience, ideally within a dealership, independent garage or specialist workshop.

You will be:

• Confident and personable with customers.
• Highly organised and able to manage a busy diary.
• Commercially aware and comfortable with upselling.
• A strong communicator with good automotive knowledge.
• Proactive, reliable and able to work well under pressure.
• Customer-focused with a genuine desire to provide an excellent experience.

The Package

• £45,000-£46,000 OTE
