Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Vehicle Service Advisor for a franchise-approved dealership in Salisbury, Wiltshire. You will deliver professional customer service as vehicles progress through the workshop, with a negotiable starting salary and a bonus scheme.

OTE around £35,000 per annum and clear long-term career prospects. The role features Monday–Friday 9:00–18:00, Saturdays on a rota, excellent training, pension and progression opportunities within a respected dealer

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role or in the motor trade is required.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence with minimal points.
• Previous experience as a Service Advisor is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and efficient service to customers during the repair process.
• Track vehicle progress through the workshop and convey updates clearly.
• Liaise with workshop and parts colleagues.
• Discuss additional work and costs with customers.
• Schedule and record work accurately.
• Support the aftersales team with audits, bookings, invoicing and registrations.

Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Vehicle Service Advisor to join their franchise-approved dealership in Salisbury, Wiltshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected dealer group operating across the South and South West of England for more than 25 years. As a Vehicle Service Advisor, you will deliver professional customer service while vehicles are progressing through the workshop. The role offers a negotiable starting salary, performance-related bonus scheme and strong long-term career prospects.

• Negotiable starting salary plus bonus scheme, with on-target earnings of approximately £35,000 per annum.
• Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm, with one in three Saturdays from 8:30am to 1:00pm, paid as overtime.

Duties of a Service Advisor:

• As a Service Advisor, provide a courteous and efficient service to customers throughout the repair process.
• Track vehicle progress through the workshop and communicate updates clearly.
• Liaise with workshop and parts department colleagues.
• Discuss additional work requirements and associated costs with customers.
• Schedule and accurately record work.
• Support the aftersales team with file auditing, service bookings, order preparation, invoicing and new vehicle registrations.
• Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and administrative accuracy.

Requirements:

• To succeed as a Vehicle Service Advisor, you will need previous experience in a similar role or another customer service position within the motor trade.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Strong IT literacy; experience using Pinewood Pinnacle would be advantageous.
• A professional, customer-focused approach.
• A full UK driving licence with minimal points.
• Previous experience as a Service Advisor is essential for this position.
