Job summary

Service Advisor - Automotive

Norwich, Norfolk -Temporary to Permanent

£13.20 per hour + commission negotiable -Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week

Are you an experienced Automotive Service Advisor who genuinely enjoys looking after customers?

We are recruiting for a Service Advisor to join a friendly, customer-focused automotive service centre in the Norwich area on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

This is a busy but welcoming environment where customer service really matters. The team takes pride in helping customers, finding solutions and making the service and repair process as straightforward as possible.

This is a straight-into-the-role position, so previous experience working as a Service Advisor within the motor trade is essential. You will need to be confident dealing with customers and comfortable working alongside a busy workshop from day one.

The Role

You will be one of the main points of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for servicing, repairs and MOTs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming customers and discussing their vehicle requirements
• Booking vehicles in for service, repair and MOT work
• Keeping customers informed throughout the day
• Liaising closely with technicians and the workshop
• Preparing invoices and completing service administration
• Advising customers on additional work where required
• Helping customers find practical solutions around their individual needs
• Promoting service plans
• Using dealership management systems
• Ensuring every customer receives a friendly, professional service

What We're Looking For

Previous Automotive Service Advisor experience is essential.

You will ideally be someone who is:

• Friendly, approachable and naturally customer focused
• Proactive and comfortable taking responsibility
• Confident communicating with customers face to face and over the telephone
• Experienced within a dealership, garage or automotive service centre
• Comfortable liaising with technicians and workshop teams
• Experienced with invoicing and service administration
• Familiar with dealership management systems
• Able to step into a busy Service Advisor role and get up to speed quickly
