Job summary

Auto Skills UK in Crewe seeks an experienced Service Advisor to join a busy dealership and act as the crucial link between customers and the workshop. You will oversee bookings, service and repair workflows, and maintain high standards of customer communication from initial contact through to vehicle collection.

The role requires strong automotive knowledge, at least two years in a similar setting, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor within an automotive dealership.
• Minimum 2 years' dealership experience.
• Experience within an aftersales, workshop or service environment.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle servicing and repairs.
• Full UK driving licence desirable
• Right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers and providing a professional and friendly service
• Booking vehicles in for servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Managing customer appointments and workshop bookings
• Keeping customers updated throughout the service and repair process
• Preparing accurate estimates and explaining repair recommendations to customers
• Discussing additional work and recommending relevant products and services
• Maximising opportunities for additional sales where appropriate
• Handling customer queries and resolving issues professionally
• Managing customer expectations regarding costs and completion times
• Preparing job cards and ensuring accurate vehicle information is recorded
• Ensuring all paperwork and computer records are completed accurately
• Maintaining excellent levels of customer satisfaction
• Working closely with the Workshop Controller and Service Manager
• Following manufacturer and company procedures
• Supporting the wider Aftersales team when required

THE ROLE

As a Service Advisor, you'll be responsible for delivering a professional and customer-focused aftersales experience while ensuring workshop operations run smoothly. Working closely with customers, technicians and the wider aftersales team, the Service Advisor will manage vehicles throughout the service and repair process, keeping customers informed and ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for an experienced Service Advisor with a strong automotive background and excellent customer service skills. The successful Service Advisor will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor within an automotive dealership
• Minimum 2 years' dealership experience
• Experience within an aftersales, workshop or service environment
• Strong knowledge of vehicle servicing and repairs
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask
• Ability to manage multiple customer requirements in a busy workshop environment
• Confident using computerised dealership systems
• Good commercial awareness and the ability to identify additional sales opportunities
• Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
• Full UK driving licence desirable
• Right to work in the UK
