Job Title: Service Advisor
Location: Hedge End
Salary: £28,300 basic salary, OTE £36,000
Hours: Monday to Friday - 1 Saturday every other month
Hawkfield Recruitment is working with a successful, family-run dealer group in Hedge End who are recruiting for an experienced Service Advisor to join the Aftersales team at their flagship franchised dealership.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and established dealership representing one of the UK\'s most recognised automotive manufacturers. You'll be joining an experienced Aftersales operation with a strong focus on customer service, workshop performance and ongoing employee development.
As a Service Advisor, you will be the main point of contact for customers throughout their vehicle\'s service or repair, working closely with the workshop to ensure work is completed efficiently while delivering an excellent customer experience.
Responsibilities of the Service Advisor:
- Meet and greet customers and discuss their servicing and repair requirements
- Manage customers throughout the complete aftersales journey
- Book vehicles into the workshop and accurately record customer requirements
- Liaise closely with Technicians and the Workshop team regarding work in progress
- Proactively keep customers updated throughout the day
- Explain servicing, maintenance and repair requirements clearly and professionally
- Provide accurate estimates and gain customer authorisation for additional work
- Identify and professionally promote additional products and services where appropriate
- Maximise service and repair opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service
- Manage future workshop bookings and help maximise workshop utilisation
- Prepare accurate invoices and explain completed work and associated costs to customers
- Ensure customer and vehicle records are accurately maintained
- Process warranty documentation in line with manufacturer requirements
- Coordinate courtesy/loan vehicles and ensure the relevant documentation is completed
- Work closely with the Parts, Workshop and Sales departments
- Deal with customer queries and resolve issues professionally
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
- Follow manufacturer processes and dealership standards at all times
What We're Looking For:
- Previous Service Advisor experience within the automotive industry
- Franchised main dealer experience would be highly advantageous
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Confident managing customers throughout the complete aftersales process
- Commercially aware with the ability to identify additional sales opportunities
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working within a busy, fast-paced dealership
- Confident using dealership systems and digital tools
- Ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal departments
- Professional, positive and team-focused approach
- Full UK Driving Licence
