Job summary

Pertemps North Midlands is actively recruiting an experienced Service Advisor for a busy automotive dealership. You will be the primary link between customers and the workshop, managing bookings, greeting customers, and ensuring a first-class service.

The role offers a salary of £28,000–£30,000 with good bonus opportunities. Overtime is available to boost earnings, and you’ll work Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:30pm with occasional Saturday mornings.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor within an automotive environment would be highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional manner.
• Ability to remain calm and organised in a busy workshop environment.

Responsibilities

• Booking vehicles into the workshop and managing customer appointments
• Welcoming customers and understanding their requirements
• Liaising with technicians regarding vehicle inspections and repairs
• Preparing estimates and explaining recommended work to customers
• Keeping customers updated on the progress of their vehicle
• Advising customers on additional work and identifying sales opportunities
• Handling customer queries and resolving issues professionally
• Ensuring all relevant paperwork and systems are kept accurate and up to date
• Working closely with the wider team to ensure the department operates smoothly
• Providing an excellent level of customer service from initial booking through to vehicle collection

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and customer-focused Service Advisor to join their busy and friendly team.

As a Service Advisor, you will be the key link between customers and the workshop, ensuring every customer receives a professional and first-class experience. You’ll be responsible for managing bookings, keeping customers updated throughout the repair process, and working closely with the technicians to ensure vehicles are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
