Job summary

Pertemps is seeking an experienced Service Advisor for a busy automotive dealership in the UK. You will be the vital link between customers and the workshop, handling bookings, updates, and liaising with technicians to ensure quality repairs.

The role offers a basic salary of £28,000–£30,000 with good bonus opportunities and overtime. Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm, with occasional Saturday mornings.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Advisor within an automotive environment is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, a professional manner and the ability to stay calm and organised in a busy workshop.

Responsibilities

• Book vehicles into the workshop and manage customer appointments.
• Welcome customers and understand their requirements.
• Liaise with technicians regarding inspections and repairs.
• Prepare estimates and explain recommended work to customers.
• Keep customers updated on progress and advise on additional work where appropriate.
• Handle customer queries professionally and maintain accurate paperwork in systems.
• Work with the wider team to ensure smooth department operation.
• Deliver high levels of customer service from booking through to vehicle collection.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and customer-focused Service Advisor to join their busy and friendly team.

As a Service Advisor, you will be the key link between customers and the workshop, ensuring every customer receives a professional and first-class experience. You’ll be responsible for managing bookings, keeping customers updated throughout the repair process, and working closely with the technicians to ensure vehicles are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Booking vehicles into the workshop and managing customer appointments
• Welcoming customers and understanding their requirements
• Liaising with technicians regarding vehicle inspections and repairs
• Preparing estimates and explaining recommended work to customers
• Keeping customers updated on the progress of their vehicle
• Advising customers on additional work and identifying sales opportunities
• Handling customer queries and resolving any issues professionally

About You

We’re looking for someone who is confident, organised and enjoys working with customers. Previous experience as a Service Advisor within an automotive environment would be highly desirable.
