Are you passionate about making a difference in a child's early education? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic tutor to provide one-on-one support for a reception-aged child. This is a unique opportunity to use sensory play and therapeutic techniques to help a child reach their full potential.

Position: Sensory Play & Therapeutic Provision Tutor

Location: Tamworth, B79

Hours: 8 hours per week, flexible part-time

Salary: £25 - £30 per hour, dependent on experience

Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for a motivated individual with experience in sensory play and providing therapeutic support to young children. You will be helping a reception-aged child with their development in a fun and engaging way.

Only candidates who already possess an enhanced DBS on the update service will be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing personalised sensory play activities.
  • Delivering therapeutic sessions to support the child's specific needs.
  • Assessing the child's progress and adapting activities as needed.
  • Creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
Desired Experience & Qualities:
  • Previous experience working with young children (reception age).
  • Experience in a therapeutic or special education setting.
  • Familiarity with supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) or those who are disengaged.
  • Ability to accept supervision and constructive feedback.
  • Inspirational, effective, and adaptable communication skills.
  • Proficiency in IT and access to a laptop/computer.
  • Ability to cultivate a meaningful and motivating relationship with a child.
