Caledonian Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager to lead major UK industrial refrigeration bids and high-value project tenders. You will own the bid process from enquiry to contract award, combining engineering insight with commercial acumen to win profitable business across the UK.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within the UK industrial refrigeration industry, ideally gained with an industrial refrigeration contractor.
• Proven track record leading major project bids valued between £500k and £6m.
• Experience achieving substantial annual order intake targets through technically complex project sales.
• Strong understanding of the complete sales lifecycle, from initial concept design to tender, negotiation and contract award.
• Experience with formal design reviews, commercial approvals and contractual governance procedures.
• Confident negotiating with senior clients on pricing, scope, programme and contractual terms.
• Excellent communication, presentation and written skills.
• Competent with Excel, Word and PowerPoint, CRM and estimating systems.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, end users, consultants, main contractors and framework providers.
• Interpret client specifications, conduct site surveys and develop practical, cost-effective refrigeration solutions.
• Manage the complete tender process from enquiry through to final submission and client presentation.
• Ensure proposals consider BS EN 378, PED, PSSR, DSEAR, GB F-Gas and related regulations.
• Negotiate with clients at senior level to protect project profitability.
• Coordinate with design, estimating, procurement, operations, finance and legal teams to deliver bids on time.
• Provide direction and coaching to a Bid/Estimating Support resource while owning your bids.
• Ensure a smooth handover of contracts to Contracts/Project Management teams.
