What you'll be doing:
  • Perform active system monitoring through daily review of telemetry, logs, and health checks
  • Conduct proactive monitoring by analysing trends, anomaly detection outputs, software releases, and security advisories
  • Plan and execute software deployments, configuration updates, and infrastructure changes
  • Lead testing and validation of disaster recovery environments
  • Investigate, analyse, and manage resolution of system and infrastructure issues
  • Own patching and vulnerability management activities
  • Provide support for audits and maintain technical documentation
  • Lead and coordinate technical resources, ensuring effective use of time, budget, and skills
  • Manage relationships between IT teams and business stakeholders
  • Oversee contracts and relationships with external vendors and service providers
  • Identify technology risks, define mitigation controls, and recommend continuous improvements
What we're looking for:
  • Strong consultancy background, ideally supporting large, complex organisations
  • Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and translate technical concepts into business outcomes
  • Solid project coordination skills with experience leading technical teams through complex initiatives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing remote teams
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Hands-on experience using project management and presentation tools
Required technical skills:
  • At least 7 years of professional Unix systems administration experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and management skills across Unix and Linux environments
  • Experience with virtual machines, containers, and hybrid Linux/Windows platforms
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud services, including deployment, configuration, automation, and monitoring across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure automation, including modifying automation code and re-running deployments in live environments
  • Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for application integration and deployment
  • Experience with enterprise technologies such as Unix‑based systems, middleware platforms, databases, and identity or authentication services
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana
