Are you an experienced Structural Engineer looking for the next big step in your career? We are assisting a respected civil and structural engineering consultancy based in Cardiff in their search for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team. This independent business has a strong reputation and a talented, dedicated team.

This role is suitable for someone aiming for a senior or principal engineer position, whether you're seeking the next step or are already in a senior role aiming for management. Projects are varied and include local and national work, such as:

  • WRU training facilities
  • High-end bespoke residential projects up to £4m
  • Multi-storey accommodation
  • Industrial, housing, heritage, and underground facilities

The successful candidate will work with a team of engineers and technicians, utilizing traditional materials. Key skills include:

  • Outgoing personality and excellent communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities
  • Willingness to represent the business at industry events
  • Commercial awareness and keen attention to detail
  • Experience with a variety of building types and materials

Business development experience is desirable but not essential. We seek someone eager to take ownership of the team, lead from the front, and mentor junior staff. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing client relationships as the main contact
