Purpose: Within the service(s), the SeniorStaff Nurse (SSN) will be a leading member of the team, working within theirscope of practice at all times under the direction of theOutpatient Manager and Consultant Surgeon(s) to provide expert care and supportto patients undergoing outpatient and inpatient consultations and surgery.The post holder will:Be a positive role model for the service and to staff,and will be a patient advocate, ensuring a positive patient experience.Provide sound knowledge and support, including planning and delivering patientcare and supporting treatment and aftercare as required by the role.Work within a governance framework and adhere to national/local regulatoryrequirements and clinical and professional standards.Under the supervision of the Outpatient Manager, will be responsible for supportingthe development of the service, ensuring effective utilisation of allassociated resources, providing efficient & effective day-to-dayoperational management & coordination of the service, allocating resourcesappropriately.Be responsible for ensuring the Plastics/Cosmetics care & treatment areasand associated equipment is safe, always fit for purpose and effectivelymaintained.
