ROLE : Senior / Staff Analogue Engineer (Board level)

My client is looking for a Senior / Staff Analog Engineer to join their team in Scotland between Edinburgh and Glasgow.

This company is a global team of experts who partner with customers to bring their products to life through inspired innovation and world-class customer service. Some of the market sectors they work in include Aerospace, Defence, Industrial, Healthcare and Life Science.

DURATION : Scotland Permanent / Full-time
Key responsibilities for the Senior / Staff Analog Engineer :
  • Lead the design and development process, including concept definition, requirements analysis, detailed design, board bring-up, and manufacturing support.
  • Create high quality deliverables for their customers, including schematics, layout guidelines, design documents, verification test documents, and EMC test plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts within your area of expertise.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
  • Possess 10 or more years of industrial experience.
  • Demonstrate a strong track record in designing complex and high-performance electrical hardware for demanding applications in space, aerospace, defence, and medical devices. Examples include robust power supplies, nimble control systems, precision sensing and instrumentation.
  • Proficient in schematic capture using CAD tools like Cadence, Altium, or Mentor.
  • Knowledgeable about PCB layout requirements.
  • Familiar with industry-specific standards and regulations such as MIL‑STD, ECSS, or ISO.
  • Experienced in reliability analysis, qualification testing, debugging, and testing of new designs.
  • Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
