£50,000 Package: Up to £45,000 Base + £5,000 tronc

We have a highly sought after opportunity for a proven Sous Chef ready for the Senior Sous Chef title. Join a family‑run independent restaurant known for its high‑quality, fresh, seasonal menu in Burgess Hill.

Package
  • Salary: up to £45,000 Base + £5,000 tronc
  • Tronc/Tips: £5,000 per year
  • Work‑Life Balance: 2.5 days off per week & reasonable finish times
  • Team: Work with an 8‑chef brigade in a supportive environment
  • Development: Gain skills in GP, budgeting, and kitchen management
The Role
  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team alongside the Head Chef
  • Run kitchen sections and ensure high food/service standards
  • Mentor and train Junior Chefs
  • Manage ordering, stock control, and GP awareness
  • Uphold health & safety standards
  • Act as 'Head Chef' in their absence
  • Assist in menu development and seasonal specials
