A leading organisation in renewable energy is seeking a Software Engineer for the Optimisation team, based in Reading. This role involves designing and developing the MIROS optimisation software to support the company’s goal of energising 1.5GW of renewable assets by 2030. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in software development, particularly in Python, along with knowledge of the GB electricity market. The position offers a hybrid working model, accommodating both in-office and remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement new features and enhancements to the codebase.
  • Test, debug, and resolve any issues within the system.
  • Lead the design and architecture of new systems.

Role Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Software Engineer to join their Optimisation team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and maintaining the MIROS environment, contributing to the company’s goal of energising 1.5GW of BESS and solar assets by 2030.

  • Design, develop, and maintain MIROS optimisation software
