About the Role

Copello are supporting a Defence lead in their search for passionate, skilled software engineers with strong problem solving ability, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive, self motivated mindset.

You’ll join our growing New Product Development team, working on next generation planning and control products. This is a hands on technical role where you’ll collaborate with international teams, lead the development of software requirements and design, and deliver high quality solutions across the full software engineering lifecycle.

We’re seeking engineers with both depth and breadth of experience — people who have led complex technical deliveries and enjoy supporting and mentoring others. What You’ll Bring

• Strong programming expertise in Core Java and / or C++
• Proven experience delivering software products for complex systems
• Solid understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle , particularly software requirements and design
• Experience developing and managing software requirements through the full lifecycle, ensuring delivered solutions meet defined needs
• Ability to build strong internal and external customer relationships, especially for requirement development and validation
• A collaborative, open approach to problem solving with excellent communication skills
• Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting other engineers
