Responsibilities

• Establish best practices in health, safety and environmental matters.
• Assist with temporary works design schemes.
• Maintain relations with client, designers, and suppliers.
• Advise on setting out methods and techniques.
• Ensure drawings and specifications are adequate for construction.
• Communicate effectively with foremen and supervisors.
• Oversee material selection and requisition.
• Prepare risk assessments and method statements.
• Keep a daily accurate site diary.
• Ensure inspection and test plans are fulfilled.

Skills

Construction or Civil Engineering experience

Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation

Ability to discuss engineering issues

Experience with ITPs, FRC, RAMs, Temporary Works

Ability to manage safe systems of work
