Senior Service Coordinator (Transport)

Salary: Competitive plus company bonus & pension

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Location: Derby

What you'll be doing;

  • Assist the Operations Manager and coordinate all aspects of service delivery in a safe and compliant manner, ensuring a first‑class customer experience.
  • Responsible for day‑to‑day management of service delivery, including dynamic allocation of work to vehicles/routes.
  • Proactively communicate with customers, providing status updates and maintaining contact with drivers throughout the day.
  • Ensure the debrief process is completed once drivers return to the depot, reporting and escalating any necessary action or updates in line with business policy.
  • Drive an engaged workforce with frontline colleagues and support drivers, proactively addressing issues identified on the rounds.

What we're looking for;

  • Experience in a customer‑centric environment.
  • Strong understanding of transport compliance and WTD.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels, especially with drivers and frontline staff.
  • Experience in logistics/transport.
  • Transport CPC – desirable.
  • Knowledge of operating other waste management facilities – desirable.
