Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Security Technical Account Manager to drive the adoption and optimization of the Splunk platform for our most critical customers, translating complex use cases into actionable security best practices.

You will act as a trusted advisor, collaborating with Field Sales, Engineering, and Support to ensure robust customer health and high satisfaction while identifying opportunities for product expansion.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional IT experience, including at least 3 years in information security.
• Experience using SIEM or security log management systems (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight, LogRhythm, ELK, Chronicle).
• Active Splunk certification with hands‑on experience in Enterprise Security, Splunk SOAR (Phantom), or Splunk UBA.
• Possession of at least one security certification (e.g., GIAC, CISSP, OSCP).
• Experience in Unix and Windows environments with CLI proficiency and scripting (Bash/Python).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on use case development, configuration, and optimization for ES and Splunk UBA.
• Resolve complex customer challenges to minimize downtime and improve system resilience.
• Accelerate customer adoption of the Splunk security platform.
• Collaborate with Field Sales, Sales Engineering and Support for customer success.
• Engage with the broader account team to align strategic plans.
• Develop collateral and tools to improve operational efficiency.
• Drive high CSAT by documenting customer success stories.
• Identify product expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
