Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Security Technical Account Manager to directly drive the adoption and optimization of the Splunk platform for our most strategic customers.

You will be a trusted advisor, translating customer use cases into best practices for security and resilience, and partnering with Sales, SEs, and Support to ensure success. This role requires deep security expertise and a collaborative mindset to maximize outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional IT experience with at least 3 years in information security.
• Experience using SIEM or security log management systems (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight, ELK).
• Active Splunk certification with hands-on experience managing Enterprise Security, Phantom, or UBA.
• Possession of at least one industry-standard security certification (GIAC, CISSP, OSCP).
• Experience operating in Unix and Windows environments with CLI and scripting (Bash/Python).

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers in long-term engagements to provide technical guidance on ES and Splunk UBA use cases.
• Resolve complex customer challenges to minimize downtime and improve system resilience.
• Apply security domain expertise to accelerate customer adoption of the Splunk security platform.
• Collaborate with Field Sales, Sales Engineering, and Customer Support to ensure customer success.
• Engage with the broader Splunk Account Team to align strategic account plans.
• Build scalable team processes, develop collateral, and implement tools to improve efficiency.
• Drive high CSAT scores by documenting customer success stories.
• Identify and champion product expansion opportunities within existing accounts to support growth.
• Participate in team development initiatives like mentoring and training.
