Help us create a better future, quicker

Technology security is one of the defining challenges of our time, and at SPEN Renewables, we're tackling it head‑on. As part of our ambitious security transformation programme, we're investing in building a cyber‑resilient business that meets UK NIS regulations and transparently reduces risk across our critical national infrastructure.

What you’ll be doing

We're looking for a Senior Cyber Security Architect to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of cyber security within the renewables sector. Reporting directly to the Head of Cyber Security Architecture, this role is central to delivering our strategic security vision and ensuring that our network and information systems are protected, resilient, and prepared for evolving cyber threats.

This is a hands‑on leadership role that blends technology, governance, and strategic influence. You'll work across Infrastructure, Telecommunications, Security, and Business IT teams, aligning closely with Corporate Security to embed secure‑by‑design principles and drive cultural change. You'll be responsible for setting technology standards, strengthening assurance, and delivering secure services that support business‑wide architecture.

What we’re looking for

We're seeking an experienced technologist with a strong background in cyber security architecture, governance, and risk management. You’ll bring deep knowledge across multiple technology domains—from cloud and SaaS to OT and enterprise infrastructure—and have the ability to lead high‑performing teams, manage senior stakeholder relationships, and deliver cost‑effective, scalable security solutions.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute from the outset, helping shape the strategic direction of a dynamic and evolving function. With significant scope for personal development and career progression, you’ll be at the forefront of securing the future of renewable energy infrastructure.

If you’re ready to lead, influence, and innovate in a critical area of national importance, we’d love to hear from you.

What’s in it for you

As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits. With our pension scheme, we’ll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%.

At ScottishPower, we believe it’s the little things we do in life that make a big difference. From helping you look after your family’s wellbeing, save for your future and take personal steps for climate action – our benefits are designed to help you do just that – so that you have everything you need to take care of your world – today and tomorrow.
