Job summary

Immunocore is seeking a Senior Scientist I to advance characterisation of biopharmaceuticals in our CMC team at Oxford Immunocore. You will develop and apply HPLC peptide mapping and mass spectrometry methods to analyze recombinant proteins and antibodies.

You will work across microbial and mammalian expression systems, study glycosylation and PTMs, support impurity characterisation, document results, and contribute to protocol writing and internal presentations.

Qualifications

• Experience developing HPLC-based peptide mapping methods for recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Experience in mass spectrometric characterisation of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Independently coordinates extensive testing of protein biomolecules.
• Characterises proteins from microbial and mammalian expression systems.
• Understands expected post-translational modifications in biological systems.
• Bench-based biopharmaceutical laboratory experience.
• Expertise in electrophoretic, chromatographic or mass spectrometry methods.
• Experience in assay development and stability study interpretation.
• Collaborates effectively in diverse teams and drives practice improvements.
• Presents detailed findings to internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to stability and comparability studies of biologics.
• Write study protocols and reports; present findings to teams.
