Job summary

Immunocore is seeking a Senior Scientist I in Characterisation to advance biopharmaceutical analysis for ImmTAX and related products. You will develop LC-MS/MS peptide mapping, mass spectrometry workflows, and glycosylation analyses to support drug substance and drug product characterisation.

Qualifications

Experience in development of HPLC-based peptide mapping methods and MS characterisation of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
Knowledge of glycosylation analysis on recombinant proteins or antibodies.
Proven ability to coordinate extensive testing of protein biomolecules.
Experience characterising proteins from microbial and mammalian systems.
Understanding of expected post-translational modifications in biological systems.
Experience in bench-based biopharmaceutical labs and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Characterise biotherapeutics using peptide mapping (LC-MS/MS) and intact mass spectrometry.
Perform impurity characterisation and identification for drug substance/product.
Develop characterisation methods for ImmTAX and related products.
Design and carry out biochemical characterization and stability studies.
Write study protocols and reports; present findings to teams and partners.
Mentor colleagues and share technical knowledge; support others in experiments.
