Immunocore is seeking a Senior Scientist I - Characterisation to advance biopharmaceutical analysis and develop robust characterisation methods for ImmTAX and related products. The role involves peptide mapping, mass spectrometry, and glycosylation analyses within a GMP-minded Biotech setting.

You will coordinate testing of protein biomolecules, interpret complex data, and contribute to process development while mentoring colleagues and reporting findings to senior management and partners.

Qualificações

• Experience in development of HPLC based peptide mapping methods and MS characterisation of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Glycosylation analysis of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Independently coordinated extensive testing of protein biomolecules.
• Characterisation of proteins expressed in microbial and mammalian systems.
• Understanding of post-translational modifications in biological systems.
• Bench-based biopharmaceutical laboratory experience.
• Established expertise in electrophoretic / chromatographic / mass spectrometry.

Responsabilidades

• Characterise drug substance and drug product impurities and identify them.
• Perform protein sequence and post-translational modification analyses.
• Characterise process intermediates during drug substance/product development.
• Develop characterisation methods for ImmTAX and other products (peptide mapping, intact mass).
• Design and perform biochemical characterisation, stability and comparability studies.
• Contribute to study protocols and reports; present findings to teams and partners.
• Provide mentorship and supervise junior colleagues; guide new experiments.
