Immunocore seeks a Senior Scientist I in Characterisation within CMC to advance analytical methods for biotherapeutics. The role emphasizes peptide mapping (LC-MS/MS), mass spectrometry, and PTM analysis of proteins produced in microbial and mammalian systems.

You will contribute to impurity characterisation, process development, and method development, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive robust characterisation strategies.

Qualificações

• Experience in development of HPLC-based peptide mapping methods and MS characterisation of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Experience in glycosylation analysis of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Independently coordinated extensive testing of protein biomolecules.
• Characterisation of proteins expressed in microbial and mammalian systems.
• Understanding of post-translational modifications in biological systems.
• Bench-based biopharmaceutical laboratory experience.
• Expertise in electrophoretic, chromatographic, or mass spectrometry techniques.
• Experience with assay development and stability study interpretation.

Responsabilidades

• Characterise biotherapeutic proteins and biopharmaceutical products using LC-MS/MS and other analytical methods.
• Develop and apply peptide mapping and intact mass spectrometry workflows.
• Analyse glycosylation and other PTMs of recombinant proteins/antibodies.
• Support drug substance and drug product impurity characterisation and process development.
• Mentor colleagues and share technical knowledge across teams.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure compliance with EHS policies.
• Contribute to study protocols, reports, and data interpretation.
• Present findings to internal teams and external partners.
