Job summary

Immunocore, a pioneer in T cell receptor biotechnology, seeks a Senior Scientist I to advance characterisation methods for biopharmaceuticals. You will develop HPLC-based peptide mapping and mass spectrometry analyses for proteins, supporting impurity assessment and PTM profiling.

You will work with microbial and mammalian expression systems, contribute to ImmTAX and related product characterisation, mentor teammates, and help prepare protocols and reports in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing HPLC-based peptide mapping methods and mass spectrometric characterisation of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Experience of glycosylation analysis of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Independently coordinated extensive testing of protein biomolecules.
• Experienced in characterisation of proteins expressed in microbial and mammalian systems.
• Understanding of expected post-translational modifications in biological systems.
• Bench-based biopharmaceutical laboratory experience.
• Expert in electrophoretic, chromatographic, or mass spectrometry methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop HPLC-based peptide mapping methods and MS characterisation.
• Characterise glycosylation of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Coordinate testing of protein biomolecules and process intermediates.
• Characterise proteins from microbial and mammalian expression.
• Contribute to method development for ImmTAX and related products.
• Prepare study protocols and reports; present findings to teams and partners.
