Job summary

Immunocore seeks a Senior Scientist I to drive characterisation of biotherapeutic proteins, focusing on peptide mapping (LC-MS/MS) and intact mass analysis. You will support drug substance/product impurity characterisation and contribute to method development for ImmTAX projects.

The role involves independent testing, mentoring, and presenting findings to internal teams, with a focus on microbial and mammalian expression systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in development of HPLC based peptide mapping methods and MS characterisation of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Glycosylation analysis of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Independently coordinated extensive testing of protein biomolecules.
• Experience in characterisation of proteins expressed in microbial and mammalian systems.

Responsibilities

• Characterise biotherapeutic proteins using peptide mapping (LC-MS/MS) and intact mass analysis.
• Support impurity characterisation and identification for drug substance/product.
• Contribute to development of characterisation methods for ImmTAX and related products.
• Design and perform biochemical characterisation, stability and comparability studies.
