Job summary

Job description

Were looking for an experienced Residential Childrens Worker to join one of our Ofsted-registered Therapeutic Childrens Homes in Crewe as an inspiring Team Leader.

At Homes for Support you’ll be part of a growing team that provides nurturing trauma-informed care to children and young people aged 5‑18 with emotional and behavioural needs.

As a key member of our team you’ll guide and support your shift team while creating safe structured environments where children can thrive.

What you’ll be doing :

Providing warm consistent care in line with safeguarding & therapeutic practices

Supporting education routines and emotional development

Promoting life skills cooking budgeting independence

Leading shifts supervising colleagues and role‑modeling best practice

Supporting home operations logs reports and regulatory compliance

Working closely with families social workers and external partners

What you’ll bring :
  • A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or Health and Social Care Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in residential childcare
  • Strong communication teamwork and leadership skills
  • Confidence in managing challenging situations and supporting complex needs
